Course Content
The course is designed for english speaking kids and parents, whether a child is learning for the first time or reconnecting with their heritage. Since isiXhosa has unique elements like click consonants, the course uses engaging self-paced modules to help kids grasp the vocabulary and culture more easily. This approach ensures a smoother and more accessible transition to the language through songs, stories, and games.
No prior knowledge of the language is required.
The introductory course is tailored for kids starting from scratch, covering the absolute basics across 10 topic areas. However, it's also ideal for mixed age groups from 4 to 12, as the lessons use bite-sized videos and diverse exercises to accommodate different learning levels.

Course Structure
This video provides an overview of the course structure, including the short video lessons and additional printable materials.
The course is divided into 10 modules, featuring 3 to 4 short lessons per module alongside interactive exercises. I recommend following the sessions in order, as the course is designed with a progressive, 30-second click consonant warm-up to build your child's knowledge logically.
Kids can rewatch as many times as needed to reinforce their learning.
All videos are presented in FULL HD, and you can adjust the playback speed, audio, and video quality to suit your preferences.
In my videos, I use a variety of visual aids, such as mouth-position diagrams, audio clips, and stories, to enhance your child's understanding. You'll also see me directly engaging with them, making the language learning both interactive and enjoyable.
Throughout the course, you'll find numerous games, drawing activities, and a final big quiz to practice and reinforce what you've learned after the modules.
